I have decided to get some Glowlight Danios for my 10 gal. tank. I was wonderng if anybody can give me some pointers on keeping them alive and healthy? The tank is furnished with your basics (filter, heater, etc.) and is planted with some crypts, a java fern and an anubias plant. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks!

There is no specific care for danios. They are like all the tropical fish in general terms. The temperature should ideally be between 24 - 26 degrees Celsius and make sure you have the water matured before you add any fish. Have filter bacteria established to stop nitrate building up if you want them to be healthy and alive later. It takes a couple of weeks to run the cycle, and add some fish food to start the process. Dont add fish the first day! They will all die soon if you do.
danios are very hardy fish easy to care for fosters and smith can tell you more if you want the technicals i have had good luck with my danios and harlequin rasboras keep in groups of three or more as they like to school with their own they dont eat plants so they should be fine and they are fairly peaceful although some larger fish find them to be food ie chiclids but then again chiclilds will eat about anything
they are the same as any other community tropical fish. feed them once a day, make sure ph is around 7, clean tank about once every three weeks, keep up on algae by getting a siamese algae eater, i would also get a cory..if you have ever had fish they are really no different than any other fish
