african dwarf frog?

all my frog does is float at the top of the aquarium. he goes down about once or twice an hour. Also he seems to not eat. Ive tried to feed him shrimp pellets, flakes, but nothing. any advice?

He doesn't sound like he is doing well. Most african frogs stay on the bottom, and swim up for air. The ones I have seen just laying on the top are usually not well. You may try frozen blood worms. You can buy these in cubes, thaw one out at a time in a small cup of warm water, just poor enough in for your frog to eat, and keep the rest in the fridge until gone. I am not sure how long you have had this frog, but if you recently purchased it, and the bloodworms don't work( they usually LOVE these) then I would take it back to the store and tell them it is not eating and that you want to exchange it or your money back. When looking for a healthy frog, look for ones that have full, plump bellies, not thin wasted looking tummies. Look for ones that seem active, especially when they are getting caught, not ones that just hang out at the top. :-)
do you ever take him out of the water?
