Any suggestions for fish?

I have 2 aquariums, my big tank, 33 gallons is cold water and my 20 gallon tank is warm water. Any suggestions what other possibilities I can put in with my goldfish? Also what sorts of warm water fish are hardy enough for my smaller tank? Any help would be great.

Since goldfish are so messy it's better to keep them by themself but if you want to add something white cloud mountain minnows are coldwater fish. Just make sure they are big enough not to get eaten but the goldfish and that you don't overstock the tank. Unlike what the pet store manager said betta's shouldn't go with goldfish since they are tropical fish, plus they eat completely different foods and some bettas can be too aggressive.

For your other tank you can have any smaller tropical like guppies, platies, tetras, mollies, gouramis or go for bigger fish and just have fewer fish. Just make sure to look up the adult size of the fish so you don't overstock and make sure if you mix species that they are compatible.
don't noe if they are warm water but danioes and white clouds are these little fish that change colour depending on light and i swap the backgrounds on my fish tank so they go from greeny to browny to purple and they are REALLY hardy!
Lemon, butter, and some capers will handle your problem ..

320 for 30 mins, in the oven, Or olive oil in a pan..
with gold fish you can put bettas, in your fresh water tropical tank you can add any community fish together such as gourami's, danio's, tetras. If you choose to have a colorful tank without going to a salt water tank try african cichlids. They are hardy fish and very colorful, although an aggressive fish so you would not want to put any community fish in with them.
it depends upon fish. some fish live in hotter areas and some in cold areas so fish like arowana, piranha and angel fish need litter bit warm water because they are living in ponds and lakes.
gold fish also need litter bit warm water. in 20 gallon of tank u can put fish like angels, goldfish, red tail sharks, discuss etc.
but in larger tank fish like arowana, piranha , sharks, koi, pacu etc will be much better.
4 your coldwater tank try golden or green tench and if you feel nececary because its a large tank a few small koi are a nice attractive fish, i have a few in mine oh you could try shubunkins
For the warm tank. hatchet fish, mollies/guppies, kuhli loaches, white clouds, danino's, 1 dwarf puffer fish, dwarf african frogs, snail, fresh plants, tetras of all colors are cool and easy. I would keep the goldfish away from the community because of too much ammonia from the wast of the goldfish, unless you can stay on top of the maintenance of the water quality.
For the cooler tank you are best to choose a hardier fish from fresh water or for maximum effect switch to saltwater, get some beautiful sea creatures, and if you can have someone come by every so often to keep the salt tank healthy and clean. Salt tanks are awesome but they can be expensive and a pain in the butt if you have to learn and do all by yourself. Have fun. Good luck.
Goldies are best kept with others of there own kind with the exception of Koi that belong in a pond as they get way to large for tanks. Even at that, single tails require 15 to 20 gls each being the larger of the two, Fancy's need 10 min each.

I would not put a Betta in with a Goldie nor a common pleco which can cause problems.

Emporer Tetras, White Clouds and Danios are nice fish for a smaller tropical tank. Both the white Cloud and Emporers are stream fish so can take a bit higher ph and also stronger filtration while most other trops can be a bit more ph and current sensitive. Researching and useing your waters Ph values can help you choose what species will best suit! :)
Switch the cold to the 20 and make the hot the 33 you can buy some nice fish, for that size tank but you need to know what you want, IE aggressive or community fish if you want a Little aggressive you can try some of the Cichlid's they are nice in color some are mean and some are OK with other fish most will get about 10-20" in length
MOST LIVEBEARERS ARE FINE
if you want healthy fish the only fish you can put with gold fish are other goldfish. The warm tank 75-80 degrees can hold any smaller tropical fish, tetras, mollies, platties, small gouramis, etc. gold fish are kept at cooler temps and produce much more waste than non-goldfish can withstand.
angle fish will go great with gold fish.
