I have Fry (finally.2 attempts).now.I have small fry food, and research says to feed them this from 2-5 days.can I feed longer?.also says to feed microworms 5-9 days or so.can I feed the small fry food for a few days longer then start feeding Baby Brine Shrimp (frozen.tried to hatch, but I am not good at that.lost whole batch!)?
All suggestions will be appreciated!

You can feed the fry food for as long as they are small enough to see it. As they get bigger, they tend to ignore very small particles. That is why the adults do not eat the fry food.
Frozen baby brine shrimp (BBS) are a good second food for all egglayers. Microworm cultures are not easy to find unless you are a member of a fish club, then someone usually has live foods that they culture and sell at the auctions.
after they hatched, they have yolk so you dont need to feed them yet. i dont feed my young untill the father has been removed. then i use a mixture of crushed up betta foods.
BBS or baby brine shrimp isn't needed until they are a week old as it is to big for them.

I don't know if the frozen bbs will be accepted by the fry. Microworms are great for the first day of feeding until about 10 days then you can try bbs live. Also microworms are easy to get a hold of, they are on ebay.com and aquabid.com, very cheap and sometimes free.
