Plecs like places to hide during the day (they are very nocturnal). Also - they will do a wonderful job sucking up all the Algae that is currently in your tank, but you will want to get them some Algae Wafers too (because they will need to eat, and could become easily diseased and stressed and die without proper foodies).

What size is your tank? If you think he/she is big now - they can get up to 18" so I wouldn't recommend anything under a 55g tank.

Good luck!
make sure the tank gets lots of light so u can grow algae which they eat. You can also by special food tablets for them
plecos usually take care of themseves
they like to eat cucumber, cabbage, peas and cauliflower. stick a butter knife into a cucumber so it sinks. pleco's love their greens.
Just google it! It's as easy as.. 1.. 2. 3!

I hope your tank will be big enough to accomodat this guy. I have a monster in a 46 gallon. He has room now, but he is getting larger. I throw in algea tabs everynight. He seems to get enough to eat off the glass, he also scouts around the gravel for a treat. I may need to get a larger aquarium soon.
