Are there any breeds of fancy goldfish that don't grow very large? HELP I'M DESPERATE!?

They all grow to like, 10 inches. Are there any breeds that grow smaller than, say, 5-6 in.? And can you give me a website about the fish? Please? I really want a goldfish, just not a big one! And no feeder goldfish please..

In a word, NO! Sorry, it just hasn't been done! Many of us would love a small mini goldie, but no one breeds them.

Fish growing to the environment is a myth. Scientifically it is the pheromones in the fish release that effects the enviroment, however, Mother natures joke is to cause stunting, slowing and the exception is there's the ones who are not phased in the slightest by the pheromones and those will continue to grow.
Just do a search for smaller carp. Some just are naturally small. Where do you plan on putting it? You could use a regular goldfish if its in a small aquarium since they won't get to their full size.
Fish will adapt, generally, to the size they live in. If you have a normal goldfish bowl, they shouldn't grow bigger than is suitable.whereas if you put them in a larger tank, they'll grow.

A few people say they won't.but after 4 months of having our goldfish, we put them in with our tropical fish in a massive tank and they grew huge!!

So just get ones suitably sized for where you're keeping them!!

Good luck
China or Siamese dolls, a breed of goldfish that are selectively bred to be small, usually stay below 3". However they are very new on the market and I haven't seen anyone sell them.

Also, goldfish WILL out grow their surrounding environment. The poster above mentions how hers didn't grow in a fish bowl (which a goldfish should never be kept in) but doesn't mention the fact that small goldfish bowls often carry large amounts of toxin nitrogen and ammonia that stop them from growing. Hence stunting their growth.
a fish will only grow as big as it's habitat will allow it. maybe u should get a smaller tank. whay size do u have anyway, i have a pond that holds 250 gallons of water and mine don't get anywhere near that big.
