Well when you add fish, they may take a few days to eat at first. I would suggest changing you water 1/3 of the way at least once a month. When you add more water make sure you use something like AquaSafe or StartRight to take the harmful chemicals out of the water. Dont over-feed the fish, Feed them like twice a day once before work/school and once after dinner. Dont put a lot in their, but like 4 or 5 flakes per fish, maybe even less until you notice that the other ones are eating. Putting too much food in will cause the water to become cloudy. Make sure the water temp is decent around 74-76 degrees F. Dont leave the tank light on all day, just around the times when you can be home, unless the tank is in an extremely dark area, and turn the light out for night. I would also suggest putting in a few decorations so that your fish can hide behind them and feel safe.
I would get a book on fish if I were you and talk to your local pet store or vet.
i would call a petstore and ask them about it
well does your tank have a filter system for it? some small tanks like that do, but it really is a must. Check at the pet store if you don't. The tank needs to build up a bacteria system that will help remove ammonia from the water. Usually you do this with little feeder fish for a few weeks. Lots of times those little guys wont make it, but it is for the good of the tank.
You should change out about 1/3 of the water about every 3-4 weeks or so. Never do it all at once or you lose all the good stuff the tank has in it. Don't wash things with soap and such cause it is hard to remove it all and it can kill your fish.
You are going to probably have to move your beta. They don't usually do well with other fish. Keep a close eye on it. Angel fish are cool, but I have always found them hard to keep alive. Groumies are really good for a small tank. pink kissing groumies, blue , etc..check your pet store. Always get more than one of whatever fish you are getting and be sure they are all community fish.
It can take a bit of work at first, but I love my fish :)
For what I know Bettas must be kept seperately. You just need a filter and oxygen, thats all. The filter will help you keep the tank clean for around a month. When you change the water you don't need to empty the tank completely, just empty 3 quartersof the water and put new clean water in it.
I think that will do. I've had 3 gold fish, and 2 angel fish together for 2 years and this is the way I do it and it has worked for me. And I have a 2 year old betta kept apart, it doesn't need oxygen nor filter. I hope this helps you.
get a book if you need to
Keep an eye on that angelfish- it is a member of the cichlid family. They can become very aggressive very suddenly. The people that have told you to be careful with the Betta don't know anything about fish. Your angel will tear up the Bettas fins before the betta would try anything.
Your angel will also get really big- they are also considered a level four fish. They are not for beginners. They are sensitive to water conditions.
This has the basics of changing water- scroll down a bit once you are there-

First of all, Beta's arent really community fish, you should either keep it in a separate bowl or buy a small in-tank compartment for it! You should change 10% of the water every week..because its only 10 gallons, it is not self-sustaining and needs to be cleaned frequently. If you dont the ammonia levels get too high from their waste and it screws up little fishies! Your temperature should be in between 80-82 degrees (perfect for most fish). I would advise against putting more fish in until you've helped the ones you have already. Sinking Granules fish food is probably your best bet with food.but bloodworms are always a yummy treat for em!
If you need more help just ask! lol
Hope this helped!

Well if you are a beginner did you buy a book to learn how to set up and take care of fish. It should be the first step. GO READ
Give this site a lookover when you have some time. They have species profile on all of your fish that you currently list in this question in their "Species Profiles" link.

Good luck!
You should not have put that many fish in your tank that quickly. Aquariums need time to develop beneficial bacteria that convert fish waste (ammonia) into nitrites. Other bacteria will convert the nitrites into less harmful nitrates which you remove with regular water changes. If you change too much water or if it is a different temperature then the tank you stress the bacteria and your water will become polluted for a short time. Under normal circumstances, you change no more then 25% of the water every week. Your tank has a problem though, for the time being you need to increase your water changes to every three days for three water changes, then every four days for thre water changes. It will help keep the ammonia and stuff down to less toxic amounts while the bacteria develop. I would also suggest not feeding your fish for three days (no food = less work for the bacteria), they can go for a week without food, but bad water will kill them or make them weak enough to get sick.
Try adding freshwater aquarium salt at one level teaspoon/gallon. It will help to protect the fish. Add it to your tank now, and form now on only add it to the water you put in the tank during a water change. Gravel vacuums can be really handy for water changes.
A
Angel fish get so stress it is not even funny. They are fish that either need to be by themsleves or with another Angel fish that are introduce at te same time.
If you don;t do this then he will die. Angel fish are the hardest to keep. Good Luck.
Get a bigger tank too.
i would probably say every month
i would say to only put 2 fish on the beginning until your tank is cycled! good luck
change 25% of the water once a week no more. The other fish may eat just not when you are watching, my Betta and platties ate when I left. also Bettas, angel fish and platties eat different foods. Bettas prefer meaty foods (betta food) most angels and platties eat the same kind. check your water temp you will want it between 75 and 80. cool water will make sluggish and sick fish. depending on the size of the fish they may be crowded, or picking on one another when you aren't areound. Angels, bettas, and platties are like putting 3 enimes in the same room they might get along with others but they usually dont like each other.
